Meet the Cast
-
Dan Mercer
Joe Hauser
Joe Hauser just spent the last decade as a Staff Sergeant in the Army Infantry, and is now driving across the country to start a job as a graphic designer, a skill he perfected drawing on porta potty walls in multiple combat zones. With his father recently deceased, and after a fresh start that doesn’t involve combat, he throws himself into the deep-end with a new job in a new town, with only his retired commander to offer guidance. -
Suzy Palmisciano
Karen Underhill
A Brit with an unhinged love for leadership, Karen Underhill was drawn to the US with a dream to make it big in entrepreneurship. Working her way up through the ranks of a large marketing agency, she was thrilled by a coworker's offer to break free and go into business together. After that relationship soured, Karen remained the solo owner of Gasoline Dog, as her now previous partner started Fjuel, an app developer. -
Tim Kennedy
Silas Wrathmore
Silas Wraithmore is a despicable human being and a lion of the Big Ambo Industry. If there’s one thing he hates it’s the little guy getting ahead, especially when the little guy are a bunch of Worst Responders making fun of his mega corporation.
-
Austin Von Letkemann
SSG Vaughn
SSG Vaughn does not want to be a recruiter. He does not want to be in Chapel Hill. He definitely doesn’t want to be working with SSG Spreter. But that’s exactly who he has to work with. And it might just break him.
-
Jarred Taylor
SSG James Spreter
SSG Spreter is incredibly skilled at three things: Doing nothing, avoiding trouble, and annoying the crap out of SSG Vaughn. He has an answer for everything, is quick on his feet, and has never met a uniform violation he didn’t like.
-
Vince Vargas
Tony Garcia
Tony Garcia is the commander at American Legion Post 6 in Chapel Hill. Garcia has been there and done that in both the military and civilian world and is keeping a close eye on Joe, making sure he manages his transition to civilian life as well as possible. He is also a mystery, wrapped in an enigma.
-
Ashley Gutamuth
Barbara Shreveport
Barbara Shreveport is the face of North Carolina News. She is an icon in the state with aspirations for National level opportunities. She is a feminist icon, and her segment, “Woman of the Week” is Karen’s favorite.
-
Jack Mandaville
Dick Richards
If Dick Richards had been alive when the word “business” was created, it would have been called Dickness. Dick Richards is business. You name it, he’s touched it. He puts on his pants every day like everyone else, but then he makes gold business plans. He is unstoppable.
-
Mary Dague
Los Lobos Leader Maria
Maria is not to be trifled with. The founder of Gasoline Dog’s chief rival marketing company in the area, Los Reyes de Los Lobos, she backs down to nothing and fears no one. She runs her unit with mercurial oversight and expects total allegiance.
-
Jack Raia
EMT Jack
Jack loves his job and hates his probie. Jack seems to have to report to Gasoline Dog far more than one would expect to deal with various injuries, and looks forward to working opposite his longtime friend Officer Tansey, who typically shows up to the same calls he does.
-
Eric Tansey
Officer Tansey
Officer Tansey worked the SE District of Raleigh for years. Tired of all the gang violence, he transferred over to Chapel Hill, where he drinks a lot of coffee, enjoys the occasional donut, and chases a lot of drunk college kids around. The highlight of his day is BSing with EMT Jack.
-
Kenny Ortiz
Rafael Rodriguez
Raf is a “cause chameleon” on a mission to be a voice for the underrepresented demographics. He studied African-American History and Gender Studies with a minor in graphic design. His real name is Dave but wants a more cultured and sophisticated name.
-
Christina Duchesne-Rivera
Jocelyn Kraft
Jocelyn Kraft is a trust fund baby, and no one at Gasoline Dog knows it. She’s working here to annoy her family, who would much prefer that she settles down with a dude in finance, with a trust fund, is 6’ 5”, and has blue eyes. She seldom cares about anything because for her, there are no real consequences. -
Kalli Therinae
Ashleigh-Mareigh Merleigh
Ashleigh-Mareigh was never popular in high school or college. As a late bloomer, she is reveling in gaining followers and ‘likes’ . Her parents, both doctors, are ridiculously smart and expected their daughter to follow in their footsteps. They are disappointed in her for pursuing a career in social media. -
Samuel Elliot Whisnant
Carter James
An avid gamer, Carter is the next level up from a basement-dwelling nerd, with an obsession for Call of Duty and alpha male masculine wilderness retreats. He is an eighth-generation almost veteran. Every male in his family lineage has been disqualified from military service for a variety of reasons, many obviously self-inflicted. -
Hollywood Heard
Kevin Alexander
Kevin Alexander is the mystery man of Gasoline Dog. No one knows where he came from, just that he has extensive knowledge and skill in the video world. Any time anyone asks about his background, the story seems to change. -
Diane Paukstelis
Victoria Stevens
Victoria is a despot of an HR rep. It’s her way or the highway. She suffers no deviation from what is proper, and looks out for Karen aggressively. She has only one weakness. -
Thomas Reed Hunt III
Stewart Endicott McCracken III
Stewie is an absolute weasel. He grew up spoiled. He’s an only child from an upper middle class family. Everyone in the office hates him. The only relationship he has to anyone in the office is his Aunt Karen through marriage (not by blood.)
-
Seth Schenall
Chaz Masters
Chaz is a kid prodigy who sailed through college. With big dreams of making movies, he currently lives in his parents' annex, and sees his time at Gasoline Dog as a necessary step on the ladder to gain experience.
-
Ben Bunn
Lucius Blackwell
Lucius was Karen’s business partner before he broke out on his own to start an app business. His first app - SHITHEAD - turns a person’s photo into the poop emoji. The app blew up, and Lucius is now rich. Driving fancy cars and owning the building Gasoline Dog operates out of, he misses no opportunity to rub his success in Karen’s face. -
Nick Palmisciano
Colonel McCallister
Colonel McCallister retired from the Army in California, and runs an American Legion post there. He and Joe have been tight ever since Joe saved his life. With Joe’s father having recently passed, Joe calls him for advice frequently. Colonel McCallister’s advice is always excellent. Joe never interprets it correctly.
